Dolumar

Dolumar is currently in alpha (early development), which means it’s incomplete and may have bugs — which is and does.

Dolumar is definately in the early stages, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth looking at.

In this game you build a kingdom. You build resources and recruit your army (which of course requires more resources).

Dolumar has a great interface. I really like the graphics and the dragable map, though the game is not without it’s faults.

Dolumar is very slow paced — a little too slow.  Ok, paaaaaaiiiiinfully slow. Building a single resource can take up to 3 hours. So click and come back after dinner.

Sending your army out to attack will take 36 hours (yes real life hours, not game hours). But don’t worry, after they attack, it only takes them 18 hours to come back home (if they survive).

What you can build is also pretty limited.  You can build resources (wood, grain, iron, etc.) and recruit infantry, that’s it.

Even though it’s excruciatingly slow, I still enjoy this game. I make my one move a day (which usually takes me less than a minute), then check back tomorrow.

It’s very clear that Dolumar is in alpha, but it’s also clear this game has a lot potential. I’d keep an eye on this one…

i liked dolumar and i liked how the game worked, but as you said, “very slow paced” was the deal breaker for me. It wasnt just very slow paced, it was painfully slow. at least with warbook i can play multiple times a day. with dolumar i do 1 thing a day and sometimes even have to wait a second day to elapse to earn enough materials to move forward.

its one thing to give users a reason to come back to progress, its another to keep them from coming back from progressing. i think dolumar does the latter.

Beautiful looking game. It is too bad that the game play is so handicapped by the time limitations.

It has amazing potetnial. Enough that I will continue playing it thru its infancy. Looking forward to Dolumars bright future.

dolumar is getiing better day by day. now the time limittaions problem has been fixed. (building takes about 2.5 minutes only. and sending the army depends on the distance but not more than 4-5 hours. the closest distance takes around 1-1.5 hours)

also I know that they are working on a better graphical interphase. so I know it will be one of the most popular games in all online games. (draggable map and a graphical interphase makes this game number one)
