A micro-currency could be useful for selling virtual goods in online games. PayPal charges $0.30 to receive a dollar. If there was a micro-currency system that allowed you to transfer small amounts without huge transaction fees, I'd definitely use it. But at the end of the day, I want to convert that virtual currency into real money.
